Case study: Bridge View School
October, 2009
A School for Chidren with additional Educational needs.
The garden space of this small group house was transformed into a safe and challenging play area for a handful of children with a range of special educational needs.
Careful use was made of the gradient to provide distinct areas which were easily supervised, which allowed individuals to be alone or to mix as required, and which provided varied opportunities for outdoor play and learning…
The staff were delighted with the finished space and found that the management of outdoor activities was improved and children were given more access to the outdoors.
